The Institute for the Application of Geospatial Technology (IAGT) through a grant from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) will be combining a variety of Geographic Information Technologies (GIT) including satellite imagery, aerial photography, and LIDAR elevation data fused with three-dimensional interactive visualization to identify environmentally sensitive areas within the Owasco Lake Watershed.
 
This project is being conducted by the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board and the Institute for the Application of Geospatial Technology, with assistance from the Cayuga County Planning Department and others. Funding for this project was secured by United States Congressman James T. Walsh.
