Regional Nonpoint Source Strategy Meetings
The Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board (CNY RPDB) continues to work with and on behalf of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) in planning and hosting Regional
Nonpoint Source (NPS) Strategy meetings. Aimed at providing a communication forum for county and regional partners to discuss water quality priorities, identify divergences, and pinpoint facilitation and coordination opportunities, the meetings have included presentations and information on the following:
- Regional Strategy for Addressing Water Chestnut
- State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) Phase II Stormwater Permit
- new Community Environmental Management Program;
- implementation funding opportunities;
- the Oneida Lake Watershed Planning Program; and
- county water quality strategy updates.
The CNY RPDB will continue to hold the Regional NPS Strategy meetings twice a year.
