Workshop sign-in: 8:30 AM. Registration deadline: October 28, 2009
Salina Town Hall, 201 School Rd., Liverpool, NY 13088
This workshop was to assist MS4s in meeting staff training requirements for Minimum Control Measures 3, 4, 5 and 6, and was part of the Year 2 CNY RPDB MS4 Stormwater Assistance Program.
If you are working in the Onondaga Lake watershed, and you are an engineer, planner, developer, or municipal code enforcement officer, this workshop contains valuable information.
This workshop will help you to comply with, and implement, the new enhanced phosphorus removal requirements of the SPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems (GP-0-08-002), and the SPDES General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Construction Activity (GP-0-08-001). The program reviews existing New York State standards and discusses the enhanced phosphorus removal requirements in designated phosphorus-limited watersheds in New York State, including Onondaga Lake (this area includes the majority of Onondaga County). It is targeted for design and review engineers and is also valuable for planners, code enforcement officers, and developers.
The workshop will be sponsored by Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board, GeoSyntec Consultants, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
This is a four-hour course for contractors, developers, planners, and erosion and sediment control inspectors.
The workshop trained municipal officials on maintenance procedures and other operations to minimize the impact of stormwater runoff and is designed for MS4 communities regulated under Phase II of the SPDES stormwater program.
This workshop is sponsored by the Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board.
