Water resource program activities
Stormwater
STERPDB provides training assistance to governmental and private sector interests in ways to reduce negative environmental impacts from unmanaged discharge of stormwater. These activities are part of an effort to assist in meeting Phase II goals of the national Clean Water Act’s National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). The Regional Board sponsors training for local planners, building code officers, and private builders and contractors. STERPDB is also working on a geospatial database of public water and waste-water systems throughout the region.
