Statewide Coordination and Management
The Central New York Regional Planning and Development Board (CNY RPDB) continues to maintain its designation as New York State's Water Resources Program Coordinator for numerous statewide activities on behalf of the New York State Association of Regional Councils (NYSARC). Specific projects or activities conducted under Statewide Coordination and Management
include or have included the following: working with the New York State Association of Conservation Districts and NYSARC members regarding an amendment to the New York State Environmental Conservation Law; coordinating NYSARC water quality staff meetings; defining a role for NYSARC in the development of watershed restoration and protection strategies; developing a work
scope for the NYSARC baseline program; processing claims and progress reports; preparing and updating the NYSARC water quality program display; and clarifying questions about contractual requirements on New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) contracts.
